I have been working as a therapist since 2017 once I finished my Master’s Degree. Previous to that I worked as a mentor for women and girls who had been rescued from sex trafficking. I work with many clients, from individuals to family, to couples. I also enjoy working with teens, women, and LGBTQ. I feel that we should meet a client where they are and walk their journey with them, giving them a non-judgmental place to feel safe and supported. I have a huge heart for teens. I feel like teens need a place to feel heard and not judged. I believe that teens need to be treated as adults in training. They need independence with support. It is the best time to learn lessons of life, fall on their face a few times, and have the security to know that they are not alone. I have several transgender clients, and I really enjoy working with them. I love giving them a place to feel heard and supported without the judgment that they are so used to in society. I just really believe that when a person feels heard and supported, they feel more comfortable exploring who they are and what they need. Also that it is ok to not know what to do, or to have done something that did not work out. Just support and an open mind sitting with them.
